Tuesday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday 8:30 am - 7:00 pm
Thursday & Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
1 Saturday every 8 weeks in our Poughkeepsie location 8:30AM-5:00PM
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Ensuring patient care goes smoothly, the Medical Receptionist primary responsibilities are checking patients in and out for their visit. Utilize various skills and tactics to determine patient needs including but not limited to speaking with them and listening to their questions and concerns. The Medical Receptionists goal is to ensure the patient's needs are met by liaising with medical staff, and family members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greeting and directing patients to examination rooms.
- Scheduling patient appointments and making reminder calls.
- Informing patients about delays and wait times.
- Update and verify patient information at every visit.
- Assist patients with filling out patient history forms, consent forms and payment contract forms.
- Receive and process credit card payments for medical services rendered.
- Answer, investigate and/or direct patient inquiries or complaints to the appropriate team leader or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience working in a medical facility preferred.

- Great interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Comfortability with confidentiality associated with management and healthcare.
- Ability to multitask and delegate.
- Basic computer skills.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Non-Patient-facing
- Indoor office work environment
- Some occasional travel may be required.
- Full time during normal business hours
OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to wear PPE as required.
- Lift and carry approximately 15 lbs.
- Intact senses relevant to the role
