Hybrid Position

Candidates in PA, NY, or NJ only. Travel Required

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION 

Assist in development, planning, coordinating, and administering training for new and existing front office employees.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

This list may not include all the duties that may be assigned. 

  1. Assist in the development of training classes and evaluation procedures.  

  1. Conduct ongoing training classes of various sizes and high frequency with minimal assistance.  

  1. Maintain updated copies of training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials to be used as reference tools for staff.  

  1. Collaborate with training manager to update and maintain Training Guidelines used by managers for employee probationary period.  

  1. Communicate needs for training/development programs with the HR Department, IT Department, EHR Department as needed.   

  1. Arrange and coordinate ongoing training classes, dates, sending invitations, identifying, room availability, meals, and technical set-up for front office training sessions.  

  1. Communicate employee training dates, list of expected attendees, and follow-up    with office managers.   

  1. Track and maintain record of front office employee training and completion.   

  1. Collaborate with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs based on changing requirements and continued process improvement expectations.  

  1. Assist in the development of PAU front office training courses.  

  1. Order supplies for training and training department as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

EDUCATION:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. 

  • Experience may be commensurate with education.  

EXPERIENCE:  

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare environment.   

  • Experience in employee training and development preferred.  

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • The Front Office Training/Development Specialist needs strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve training programs, methods, and materials. 

  • Effective instructional skills to apply different teaching techniques and adapt to different groups of participants, interpersonal skills to collaborate with the front office training manager, front office trainees, and other departments, and high aptitudes in communicating information and ideas both verbally and in written form. 

  • The Front Office Training/Development Specialist should also be proficient in the use of computer programs and technology to create training presentations and materials.   

 

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Non-patient facing 

  • May rotate working in the office and remote/telework.  

  • Working in a professional office environment.  

  • The position requires the ability to multi-task, communicate clearly & concisely, and data entry for extended period.  

  • May require sitting or standing for long periods, including stooping, bending & stretching. Requires occasional lifting of files and boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.  

  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, type at 35 wpm, operate copier, and other office equipment as necessary.
